About Pathways4Youth
Pathways4Youth, a research lab housed at the University of Michigan School of Nursing, conducts research that examines factors that contribute to the healthy development of youth, with the goal of identifying factors during adolescence that contribute to the development of physical and emotionally healthy adults. Our studies seek to identify strategies to promote the healthy development of youth, including the prevention of youth violence and substance use. We are particularly interested in how neighborhood and social experiences influence future orientation and identity development, behavioral choices, and health.
Pathways4Youth offers opportunities for University of Michigan students to develop and apply research skills specific to positive youth development and to advance their knowledge of risk, resilience, youth violence/aggression and substance use.
Pathways4Youth is directed by Dr. Sarah Stoddard, currently faculty at the University of Michigan’s School of Nursing in the Division of Systems, Populations and Leadership.
